Chris Idestrup MSc, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Idestrup is a staff physician at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the Department of Anesthesia. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his anesthesia residency training at the University of Toronto in 2005. Subsequently, he completed subspecialty fellowship training in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He was the Director of the Acute Pain Service at the Holland Orthopedic and Arthritic Centre from 2006 to 2010, and at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre from 2010 until 2014.
Dr. Idestrup was the President of the Medical Dental Midwifery Staff Association (MDMSA), Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, from July 2010 to June 2012. Additional roles held as a member of the MDMSA executive included Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President between July 2007 and June 2010. He was a Board Member of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre from July 2009 to June 2012. He has extensive experience in working with hospital management teams, and has a thorough understanding of hospital committee structure and governance.
Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Toronto, and is the Deputy Chief of the Department of Anesthesia at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Stephen Jakob
Steve founded Osprey Capital in 1998. Osprey Capital has established itself as one of Canada’s leading independent mid-market investment banking and financial advisory firms. Osprey offers a range of advisory services focused on the execution of merger, acquisition, business sale, and finance transactions.
Prior to co-founding Osprey Capital, Steve was a Partner and Director with Gordon Capital Corporation where he provided investment banking advice to several Canadian public and private companies. He had responsibility for a variety of transactions including financings, initial public offerings, asset sales and going-private transactions.
Before joining Gordon Capital, Steve was the President of a private packaging and distribution company. He became involved shortly after the start-up and initiated and completed the ultimate sale to one of Canada’s largest consumer products companies.
After receiving an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, Steve taught Business 257, and Canadian Institute of Management and Institute of Canadian Bankers courses at the University of Western Ontario.
Andy Kroen
Andy is a retired HR and sales executive with a 35-year background in the technology space. From 2003 to 2013, he was the SVP of Sales and part owner of BackCheck. A game changing supplier of background check services for employers that incorporated technology and unique processes to ensure employers knew who they were hiring. Andy was responsible for all client facing functions, sales, client services, sales operations and support, and implementation, along with managing the relationships their largest clients. He was instrumental in growing the business from $250k to $30m over a 10-year period and ensuring that their market share leadership position was maintained. Andy and the other owners then sold the business to a strategic buyer.
From 1987 to 2003, Andy was the VP HR Canada and Latin America for Sun Microsystems, a leading global supplier of computer hardware infrastructure. He was responsible for all HR functions (recruitment, compensation, benefits, OD, Employee Relations) in 6 countries with a team of 25 HR professionals.
Prior to Sun Microsystems, Andy was with GEAC, a producer of enterprise resource planning, performance management, and industry specific software based in Markham, Ontario. The company was acquired by Infor Global Solutions in March 2006 for US$1 billion.
Will Tiviluk
Will began his career in the financial services business in 1989. Will oversees the creation of financial plans and asset allocation models, derived from clients’ stated goals and objectives. Will spends considerable time ensuring that clients’ investment portfolios are appropriate to their specific financial needs, stage in life, and risk tolerance. Using the strong resources of RBC Dominion Securities as well as third party research, Will also devotes much time to analyzing market trends.
Will’s reputation for excellence has been earned from the quality of his client relationships which are based on mutual respect and trust and an ongoing effort to understand the clients’ needs and objectives. In addition to providing investment advice, Will focuses on insurance, tax and estate planning issues to ensure that his clients’ wealth is managed in a tax effective manner such that tax is minimized for future generations.
Will was born and raised in Toronto and attended McGill University where he obtained a degree in Economics. After McGill, he gained valuable financial experience at two of Canada’s leading financial institutions, working in both the banking and insurance sectors before joining Dominion Securities.
Leon Kharkhourin
Leon Kharkhourin is the CEO of Delbridge Solutions, a corporate performance management and business analytics company that specializes in advisory and implementation consulting. Delbridge Solutions are headquartered in Toronto, Canada with offices in the US and Europe.
Leon also holds the position of Partner at Delbridge Capital Partners, an investment fund with a focus on B2B enterprise software start-ups.
Leon was previously, CEO at Obero SPM, a sales performance management software scale-up (exited to Vista Equity Partners in 2018). He was also a Business Unit Executive of IBM’s North American Software Group, managing Performance Management Lab Services organization for North America and the VP of Professional Services at Clarity Systems.
Leon holds an MBA degree in Information Technology and Operations from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
